Môn CF
Apprenticeships Campaign
Môn CF is a charity that provides employment and business support to people living on the Isle of Anglesey.
The Project
Engaging with young people lies at the heart of Môn CF's company strategy.
Reaching them can prove challenging, particularly when the focus is on their careers and development.
Recently, the UK Government introduced the Multiply Initiative, designed to improve numeracy and maths skills across the nation.
Leveraging Multiply funding, Môn CF successfully rolled out its new apprenticeship program.
The primary goal was to launch promising careers through apprenticeships while providing a Level 2 qualification in Maths.
This initiative targets young adults aged 19+ who are currently not in employment or education.
We launched a targeted, bi-lingual campaign, designed to resonate with the audience.
Our goal; to amplify awareness of the apprenticeships, and generate applications.
Our strategy was a mixed-media campaign that used online and offline channels.
We focussed on our primary social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram. Utilising their advertising tools and using audience data for optimal targeting.
Offline marketing included the distribution of posters, flyers, and team resources.
The campaign was designed to engage both young people and their parents. While our target audience was young people, we recognised the importance of parental support for the project's success.
By engaging parents, we aimed to spark conversations about the project in peoples homes. We believed the extra encouragement from parents would motivate more young people to apply.
As an organisation in the third sector, and operating in Wales, all marketing for the campaign was delivered with bi-lingual messaging.
Results
Despite a brief turnaround window which only allowed 10 days for applications, our campaign had impressive outcomes:
- Over 200 enquiries were generated.
- Our outreach extended to more than 60,000 individuals across Anglesey and North Wales.
- 12 apprentices were successfully recruited, and are now employed and pursuing a qualification aligned with the Multiply Initiative.
- Notably, three of the successful candidates commenced their apprenticeships within Môn CF, with one joining our Marketing team.
